Discuss Research
Have a conversation with your patients about MASLD and MASH and ask if they are interested in research. Let them know someone from DRI will call them.
Consider Biopsy
Historical liver biopsies are a terrific plus. Please consider obtaining a biopsy prior to referring when possible.
Current Labs
Make sure there is a set of current labs or order if needed. Preferably a set of LFTs, CMP and CBC.
Medical History
Patients with recent cancer history (2 years) will not be eligible (unless skin cancer).
Get a FibroScan®
Order a FibroScan® if one has not been done in the past 6 months.
